Meet your practitioner

Marla Wood

My journey as a sound bath practitioner grew from my own experiences with restorative yoga and sound meditation. These practices brought me a deep sense of peace, healing, and perspective during challenging times in my life. I love to tell my story so feel free to email with any questions or attend an offering and we can talk. We do not walk alone.

After earning a certification in children's yoga instruction, I began sharing mindfulness and wellness practices with my elementary students. Over time, I collected a variety of sound healing instruments and started offering sound baths and guided meditations for youth groups, educators, and community members.

As my passion for this work grew, I completed my certification as a Sound Healer, deepening my knowledge of sound-based wellness practices and their ability to support relaxation, mindfulness, and emotional well-being.

During a particularly meaningful sound bath experience, I felt inspired to create Still Waters—a space dedicated to helping others find peace, connection, and renewal. What began as a personal healing journey became a calling to support others through the restorative power of sound, mindfulness, and community.

At Still Waters, my goal is to provide a welcoming environment where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience comfort, acceptance, and healing. In today's fast-paced world, I believe everyone deserves a place to pause, reflect, and find stillness
